This month I am honoring my mother for my "self portrait". We share more than one name so I feel like it is fitting. A few weeks ago my mom and I walked on a trail together and scribbled a picture of her in 2 minutes for fun in my sketch book. I didn't think much of the image but this past month I've spent a lot more time with my mom outside and she's been very supportive of all of the creative avenues I've been pursuing lately. It helps me feel more confident when my parents are on board. I was having trouble coming up with what I wanted my May Self Portrait but with Mother's day being in the month of May, I feel like the image was born itself.
I won't get deep as I've already done that before but I love my mom a lot and I hope she knows that. She is an inspiration and a true bright light. She is why I have a luminant demeanor. The colours used in this image were not planned, I filled in her hair and body with an auto colour and it gave me the idea to use tertiary colours to give more of a psyche/futuristic look. I love how this picture turned out and it makes me excited to print these portraits out and put them on my wall!
Yesterday we went to lunch at the Graffiti Market! It was our first time and I got the "Gnocchi by Nature". It was delicious and so rich. I also had a citrus beer because it was brewed there. Overall, it was a very relaxed day, we went to the park afterward to absorb some sun and then came back home!
